Arrival, Setup & Delayed Starts
Arrival
45-90 minutes prior to the ceremony starting.
o Arrival time depends on familiarity with venue, prior commitments and complexity of client’s ceremony.
Arrival Checklist
Upon arrival I will:
o Check in with relevant parties:
Happy couple!
Venue coordinator(s)
Other Suppliers (Photo/Video)
Friends, family and loved ones potentially with roles in the ceremony.
o Check that audio/video is all set up and ready to go:
Set up my own system if required.
Check venue’s audio/visual, etc.
Delays (60 min)
A ceremony start time will be determined and agreed upon prior to the ceremony.
I commence a ceremony up to 60 minutes past the pre-determined start time to account for delays.
o For example, if a ceremony is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm, I will still perform the full ceremony if we can start no later than 3:30 pm.
o After these 60 minutes, I will use my discretion in terms of staying to perform the ceremony.
Delays are understandable when it comes to weddings. I will always do my best to stay and perform the ceremony if I can.
However, if I have personal or professional commitments that I am required to perform I will have to leave. For example, I may have another wedding to solemnise for another couple. If this is the case I will have to leave after the delay.
If I must leave and cannot perform the ceremony after the delay of 60 minutes, I will use my discretion in determining if any refund of fees will be provided to clients.
