FAQs

Where do we even begin?!

I know, right?! My advice is to meet with a few celebrants and see who you feel a connection a with. I’m always up for a chat over a coffee or glass of wine to hear about your wedding plans! If we are vibin’ and I’m given the honour of making your marriage official, I’ll start by giving you access to the “Bridal Suite” section of my website complete with logistics, legalities, references, ideas, sample ceremony and bonus FAQs. Over the course of a few meetings and comms I’ll listen to your story and ask a bunch of questions eventually leading to a unique ceremony that fits you as a couple.

Do you have a sound system we can use?

I provide a speaker and microphone to be used during the ceremony for speaking and playing music. The Bose S1-Pro speaker is great for crowds of up to 125 and is portable (no electricity required!).

Many venues seating more guests will have an in-house sound system for use by the celebrant during the ceremony.

Do you travel outside of Sydney?

Yep! When booking me as your celebrant, round trip travel of up to 110km is included. 80 km round trip is included for the "No Frills" ceremony. I’m based in Turrella, NSW.

Additional driving after that is added at the rate of $0.70/km.

Is a rehearsal included?

Yes it is. Some couples choose to have a top & tail rehearsal from start to finish with the entire bridal party. Others wish to just have a quiet meeting to discuss logistics and hear the final draft of the ceremony. We will have either a final meeting or a rehearsal.

Whether or not to have a rehearsal can depend on so many factors like availability of friends, family, venue, yourselves and me! That last week before the wedding can be full of a lot of surprises to the schedule. Full transparency, most couples opt for a final catch up about a week or two before the big day. We can chat more along the journey of what will work best for you.

What's the deal with all the legal stuff?

I’ll provide (and file) any and all legal papers you may be required to sign to make your marriage official according to law in Australia. There are only a few key things to be aware of and I’ll provide guidance. Trust me, it’s not so bad!

  • Form to fill in between booking and our first planning meeting. (NOIM)
  • Some signatures just before and during the wedding ceremony. (DONLI, Marriage certificates)
  • A few sentences that must be stated during the ceremony, including to start off the vows. They aren’t intrusive and you’ll still have full creative control of vows from there!

We have so. many. questions.

This is totally normal. Shoot me a message and we can discuss them all! My aim as a celebrant is to channel all of that ceremony-planning energy into excitement for your big day. Whether you know it or not, you already have everything you need for a perfectly magical ceremony: YOU! Let’s tell your story.

  • BONUS - When booking with me I provide access to the "Bridal Suite." This is a private section of my website complete with guidance, inspiration, and more FAQs having to do with all things wedding ceremony.
